  1. Whimsy Mimsy says:

    we stood in the snow
    coated
    pure and simple
    white
    and I thought
    your eyes
    said, “love”, even
    as I watched the way
    your poetic lips
    wrapped

    around other words
    that my ears
    turned away

    I stood in the snow
    still
    as the bare oak trees
    shivering
    in the cold bitter wind.
