Sonnet — Snow Angel

It’s a kind of genesis,         Like winding a clock,
a gathering of order          it’s not a closed system,
from absence, evening          not to mention God
and morning, one day.          the watchmaker.

You are my sign          So I’ll set about
in the winter morning,         making you
my star in the east          a snow angel.

  1. Aah, I love it read both ways — really lovely play on the meaning across and down the lines.
