Blue infiltrates the sky,
bright and irresistible,
unrelentingly beautiful.

It creeps across my skin,
the opposite of shadow,
until a guilty sadness

Coats me, a film
that sheds water, im-
permeable, smothering.

One Response to Blue

  1. Whimsy Mimsy says:

    The limitless blue
of the sky bowled above me
    serves as a reminder
    to serenely accept
the limitless blue of my own.
