The moon is full of dreamy light,
close enough to pluck from the thin night
and place, a pearl, on your earthly ear,
but it is better that I pause, reflect,
as still you shine bright in my dreams
through the clair de lune waters of sleep.

Gorgeous imagery.
thanks mightily
enchanting as the moon is ever….
isn’t it, though? (… the moon)
This is gorgeous!!!
thank you, audrey, nice to meet you
Bravo! This is just perfect for the night of a blue moon!
it’s a big one
Loved this!! The imagery & alliterations are spot on! 🙂
thank you, katie, i’m glad you liked the sounds
Perfectly dreamy image you painted here.
thank you 🙂
ah yes…sometimes you think you can just stretch your arm and pluck it…smiles….a pearl, on your earthly ear…very cool
There is something felicitous about the moon, and you’ve expressed this so well. I love the ending.
Oh this is such a nice tribute to the moon.. Noted it for the first time in a while… summers in Sweden don’t allow for much moons (nights are too bright) … but in August it returns brighter than ever… I could hear Debussy in your words.
Fitting poem to the full moon imagery ~ Love the dreamy light ~
nice… like a song
Big enough to capture with an iPhone, I am told. So beautiful, Ray!
This is beautifully written ~ I like the moon imagery full of dreamy light ~
nice read..like the imagery and the emotion evoked as I read
Ray, this is gorgeous. A tribute to the full moon is a most delightful way.
Pamela
