Untitled Encounter

Taut topology of pain.

Fingers following flesh
down the garden path.

The recipe for needing
calls for kneeding.

Heat from friction,
heat rising in blood.

Tease away tension,
pull away pain.

Cast a finger spell
on the back’s blank face.

Write a second verse
on the even whiter skin,

another form of magic.
