blow

heart like a lost party
balloon under the bed
shrunken and dusty

the part you put
to your mouth
and blew before
you tied the knot

the banshee night wind
like all the air is rushing
out of the popped sky

your lips formed
a perfect O as you
held it in your many
fingers and bent
head down to the task
