Bounce

After days and weeks
of flying high, it is not a question
of if, but when, your arms will tire.

Will you clear this rocky hilltop
and the one beyond, will you crash
against the hard cold mirror of the lake?

Will you plummet topsy turvy
into the muck and mire, or will you
make yourself a ball, and bounce?

Bounce isn’t a bad idea, although I’d rather glide from the highest peak. =)
