moon

full moon
eight below zero
it’s a stumbledown night

of circular phenomena
and roundabouts
double O moon

double O eight
below
zero

the swirl
and eddy
of dark rum

and my head in Arecibo
Bayamón or Mayagüez
ronrico

the way it tickles the tongue
la lengua
to say or sip

this
is how we touch
these photos

of the moon
flying across the night
on love arrows

or maybe bubbles
more likely to freeze
than burst
