(I Was) Born on a Wednesday

Wednesday is a square word,
a squat, house-like construction,
a three-by-three matrix.

Love walks two-by-two,
Long leg-short leg, perfect circle,
two legs in the air, open mouth.

Who wouldn’t want
a new granite countertop?  But
you aren’t buying your forever house.
