Mars Poetica

Howling at the moon is a poem pure.
Scratching pencil to paper is another way,
better than solving the crossword
after a glass of red wine which is just
the same words every night and the same
black squares confining them.
Some poems open minds and some open
legs. Who says we have to choose?
