An all-knowing god
would see and hear every time
I was thinking of you,
And an omnipresent god
would inhabit me, in, out,
in, out, with every ragged breath,
But there is no god for us,
just the chaotic dispersion
of a trillion particles of air
So that every time I breathe in
I am filled with the essence
of you and everyone else
And so we see each other’s faces
when we close our eyes
and feel each other’s touch
Through our own urgent fingertips.
“So that every time I breathe in
I am filled with the essence
of you and everyone else”#
I like this.
